Abode Of The Gods (apukunaq Tianan)
Short excursion to Apukunaq Tianan ('Abode of the Gods'), a new attraction featuring colossal stone sculptures of Andean gods carved into rock on a hillside just outside Cusco. A 30-45 minute drive brings you to the site (~3,800 m altitude), where you can walk among the impressive carvings – such as faces of the Andean creator god, pumas, and other mythological figures. The tour lasts about 2-3 hours total, including transport and ample time for photos with the sculptures and enjoying the panoramic view of the Cusco valley. It's an easy cultural outing from the city.
